01THE PRICE DECISION

An industrial group ran a buy-side program across three targets. In every one, the figure presented as earnings had to be rebuilt before it could support a price.

A manufacturer had built a US subsidiary ahead of the clearance it needed to sell there. The recommendation went against the room twice — in opposite directions.
